About Ganesh Himal Child Help Center

Ganesh Himal Child Development Service Center is a non-profit organization registered in 2002, which runs an orphanage in Boratar, Kathmandu. Currently the orphanage is home to 22 children between the age of 5-12, and two married staff members, Manoj and Kaushila Tamang.

We believe that every child has a right to education, health care, and a safe and nurturing environment without being exposed to violence or abuse. For some children living in Nepal, whether they live in Orphanages or not, this is not how everyday life is. We believe that it is our collective responsibility to make sure that all children are kept safe and loved unconditionally.

Mission

We create a home where our children feel safe, have dignity, are looked after and inspired to learn and socialize. We try to secure food, clothes, books, school materials, toys and money to pay for rent and school fees. The children go to local school and study in KG to grade six. We aim to create an environment which develops their empathy, responsibility creativity.
